San Miguel de Salinas is a charming town, it has all the services that one may need shops, hairdressers, banks, police, pharmacy, doctors, bars, restaurants. It has almost 6000 inhabitants according to the municipal census, of which 55 percent are foreigners. It is a much quieter area than Torrevieja.
Where is San Miguel de Salinas?
Located about 10 kilometers from Torrevieja y Pilar de la Horadada, it is the highest town in the region.
Nuestras 54 km ² of municipal term go down from the mountain in a layout of boulevards, ravines and hills to the plain, known as El Llano where the flats field is located, which is the cultivation area.
Regional roads connect San Miguel with Orihuela, through Bigastro, Torrevieja and the towns of Vega Baja.

From Alicante, this town is accessed through the A-7 y AP-7 to link with the CV-940 y CV-941.

San Miguel de Salinas has Sierra Escalona, a protected area, where birds, mammals and reptiles live.
It also adjoins the Orihuela Costa urbanizations and the Golf Courses.
San Miguel de Salinas is 10 minutes from the Beach
If you want to go to the beach, you can choose both the beaches Orihuela Costa and those of Torrevieja and in less than 10 minutes you will be there.
