Orihuela Costa

Orihuela Costa is a macro-urbanization of Orihuela, Orihuela Costa is the coastal area of Orihuela, being at a distance of 30km approx.

Orihuela Costa has one of the most prestigious urbanizations in the area, surrounded by fine sand beaches and the Mediterranean Sea. This area has been growing the last 20 years in a dizzying way.
Known for the Golf Courses and Beaches, each year it is considered one of the best areas to invest.

Beaches and Coves

Orihuela Costa has 16 km of coastline with 11 coves and fine sandy beaches bathed by the Mediterranean Sea.

The privileged geographical situation and its excellent climatic conditions facilitate the enjoyment of its beaches and the realization of sports nautical throughout the year. 

The beaches are recognized and accredited by the official certifications that control the quality criteria. The Blues Flags, «Q» Certifications for Tourism Quality, position Orihuela as a quality tourist destination, with the highest number of distinctions per kilometre of coastline in all of Spain.

Punta Prima Beach

Punta Prima beach. It stands out for its innovative nature in terms of accessibility, as it has an elevator on the beach that gives direct access to the bathing area.
It is bordered by a promenade with lifeguard services in high season, rental of hammocks, umbrellas and a beach bar.

Flamenca Beach

Cala Mosca. A cove with protected natural elements of small dimensions and with a great depth of fine sand. It is a very peculiar coastal area that joins with neighboring Cala Estaca through the Playa Flamenca promenade.

La Zenia Beaches

Cala Cerrada. It is a cove of fine sand located in the urbanization of La Zenia next to the hotel. It is sheltered by a cliff.

Cabo Roig Beaches

Cala Bosque. The accessible point is equipped with a bathroom with an adapted shower and changing room, an amphibious chair, a shaded area with umbrellas and a central walkway that is wider than usual that facilitates access to the beach for wheelchairs.

Cala Capitan. Cala is divided into two bathing areas by an islet called «Isla del Carmen«. In summer it has a lifeguard service, rental of sunbeds and umbrellas and a poolside snack bar. It is an accessible cove and has parking spaces for people with reduced mobility.

Campoamor Beaches

Aguamarina Beach. Quiet cove located between the urbanizations of Cabo Roig and Campoamor. It joins the La Glea beach.

La Glea beach. It is one of the largest beaches with a length of 513m. and an area of 35,910m2.

Barranco Rubio beach. It is the longest beach, located in the Campoamor urbanization, with a length of 655 m and an area of 30,785 m2.

Mil Palmeras Beach

Mil Palmeras Beach  is located at the mouth of the Cañada de Matamoros, which delimits the municipalities of Orihuela and El Pilar de la Horadada.
It is a natural, open beach with fine white sand. In the summer months it has the services of chiringuito, rental of hammocks and umbrellas. It has a children’s game.
